Schwinn
A
six-story loft building was renovated to accommodate the Schwinn Bicycle Company's
Corporate Headquarters in a redeveloping area on the Near West Side of Chicago. The open plan workstation layout, conducive to a more effective exchange of information, weaves in and out of the irregularly spaced timber columns in a "scroll like" form. The lighting of the space was accomplished with a combination of track/ambient lighting showcasing a suspended collection of antique bicycles and timber construction above.
