Meyer May

The May house and furnishings were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1909. Steelcase purchased the home with the goal to restore the house to the original design environment. An extensive construction program was undertaken, utilizing historic photographs and original sketches. The firm’s restoration involvement received awards from the National Trust for Historic Preservation; the American Institute of Architects, and the President’s Historic Preservation Award.
